I have to say I don't like to drag people's parents or children into campaigns like this... he can't help what happens to his father or what his father does. If it were his WIFE, then I would say go for the kill, but I sure as hell hope no one ever holds me responsible for my dad's political or business ties.

This is only true if the other campaign holds to the same standards. Once Trey tries to bring Rand's father into the mix, then all bets should be off. Perhaps this thread can be a warning to the Grayson spies reading this - don't try to portray Rand's father as a "kook," like some on your side have done, or some of us will let people know what Trey's father is like.

Trey Grayson is running against Rand Paul, not Ron Paul. Likewise, Rand is running against Trey Grayson, not his father - or his wife for that matter.

When one compares fathers, Rand comes out far far ahead - congressman, political stateman, constitutionalist, etc. So Trey Grayson supporters -- don't go there!

There's some truth to this, though I still think that it's different simply for the fact that Rand Paul's candidacy is in large part directly tied to his father's public service... which is not the case with Gheyson.

Um, I hope other members get the giant octopus we're uncovering. Grayson is only where he is because of his rich dad and connections. He's being appointed senator because he's got a familial monetary interest in the very banks THAT ARE LOOTING MONEY FROM THE PEOPLE FOR SEVERAL GENERATIONS.

HELLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! The bailout is front and center in this race. Grayson claims he's against them, which is BS! We know he would've voted for them. WHY DO YOU THINK THEY KILLED BUNNING'S CAREER!?

Do you realize this is what we're up against? This is how they operate? They staff positions of power with reliable stooges like Grayson. It goes like this, "Hey Merwin, we need a real stooge in Washington that will vote to let us take everybody's money, know anyone?" "Sure, how about my boy? He's a real numb-skull who's taking ridiculous sex-ed classes at Harvard. Maybe this will make him grow up." "Are you sure he isn't independent?" "Oh yeah, he'll do whatever the guys we put into leadership tell him."

"Oh, but that's his dad!"
Yeah, his dad named his 42 foot yacht after Trey's sister.

Grayson just lost, ya'll. I'm havin' a beer. We're gonna run with this. Campaign needs an army of PI's and lawyers to sort this out.

You can't portray Ron as a kook without being one yourself. Where Ron Paul is a wonderful man deserving of great respect, Trey Grayson's father is apparently a parasite banker.

I'm not sure how guilty Trey Grayson should be for the actions of his father. You'll probably see Peter Schiff's father brought up if he gets in it and starts doing well.

Are we not amassing evidence that Treytor is a stooge for the Wall St./financial special interests? Do you think he was handpicked by McConnell because he's such a handsome, elegant speaker? He was handpicked to be senator because he's an establishment dude, a peer in the criminal class. He's expected and bound to vote in their interests, and say whatever he wants in the campaign.

This^ and Rand's family isn't benefiting from government largess and running for the position that will legislate and distribute that largesse. Trayson's is and moreover he is personally benefiting. Unless he has zero shares in his father's wealth or fore-swears future inheritance it's fair game in my opinion. And as Dionysius said he probably wouldn't be where he is if it weren't for those very financial interests.

I thought about this angle myself but thought since they were local bankers they might have actually been shafted by the Feds in that local banks were more prudent during the boom. That doesn't look like the case.

Is it too greedy to hope for some mortgage broker fraud by Trayson & Co? This was at least done at People's Bank (http://www.mortgagefraudblog.com/index.php/weblog/C38/P15/). Fraud was a part of the meltdown and all small government people want to go after fraud. Isn't that the Secretary of State's (i.e. Grayson's) job?

The campaign needs to narrow it down. The last post with Peoples Bank looks perfect. Amazing work Dionysus!!!

Barney Frank actually pulled this for his home district bank (and probable contributor) and there was an uproar. And he's not even related to any of them

The article also shows how the bank execs drove a company porsche. I wonder if there's similar shenanigans with the Kentucky bank execs.
