Wow. I am going to have to look into these docs to see if these laws are active on the books or when they are up for legislation.

Pretty alarming article with an embedded link to RT interview.

wowzers. I didn't know about the Iowa document. Thanks for sharing this.

This is concerning: to restrict or prohibit assemblages of persons;

What's crazy is this virus is at this point not as deadly as other viruses, yet they are really ratcheding up the fear and panic response.

DES MOINES, Iowa -- The Iowa Department of Public Health issued a statement Monday on an Internet rumor circulating about an H1N1 quarantine document.

IDPH officials said it's unknown who accessed a copy of the document called Iowa’s “Facility Quarantine Order” that is now being shared on the Internet on some rumor Web sites and by e-mail.

Department official said “IDPH wants to make it clear that Iowa has not issued any isolation and quarantine orders for novel influenza A (H1N1), and has no plans to issue any this fall.”

Officials said it is common for document templates to be prepared in case they are needed, but they said isolation and quarantine orders are “only rarely used in very specific situations.”

Officials said that anyone with questions about the issue could call the Center for Acute Disease Epidemiology, Iowa Department of Public Health at 800-362-2736.
