Meanwhile, Reid's office sent a young staffer, Sean Kennedy, on the road to trail the caravan as it made its way across the Silver State. He has videotaped each event.

Williams made a point of introducing Kennedy at each of the rallies and spoke directly into Kennedy's camera to address the Nevada senator.

"Your going down pal! This is our country, it's not your country, it's not your fiefdom Mr. Reid!" he said at the Winnemucca stop to much approval from the crowd.

Nevada: The Most Libertarian State in America!

I was there there that picture was when they announced Harry Rieds Camera man being there and following the tour ... He sure looked like he didn't want to be there..spent most of the time texting messages I think...

There must have been well over 500 people there. It was very hot and most everyone was in the Sun...there were a few local politicians there and a few wanna be ones for the next election.

What I didn't like was that it seemed as though a few were trying to make it a Republican type rally. Which was not why most were there as far as I am concerned most from party's need to go...from the bottom up all the way to the top. It seemed as though the majority felt the same way.

The crowd was very polite but made it quite clear what they thought of Harry Ried, Mz. Pelosi and President Obama and all the policy's they are pushing. I hope they see all the footage that they are taking from this tour and change there ways but some how I don't think that will be the case. They are bound and determined to ignore us all, and do what they want.

The local news people were every where. The thing that bothered me the most was that the news media trivialized the event and Channel 8 one of our local news stations did not show any of the Harry Ried signs and very few on the other ones, all those signs were everywhere how they cut them out is amazing some real slick editing was done...another local station Channel 13 made mention of it, and showed a few minutes of the Tea Party sign including some interviews. Fox 5 didn't mention anything about it when I was watchingit. I never did check the 4th station Channel 3.

All and all I think the Rally was impressive and for a Monday Morning 11AM in 106 degree temps 500 people or so, it was something to see..

Sorry, but NH has lower taxes and better gun laws, plus we're the only state that has no seat belt law. And that lady in the picture does nothing good for the image of NV libertarians. That said, keep giving Sen. Reid a hard time.

I don't know who's taxes are better and I really don't care.

I am also a Bostonian transplant and have been a Nevadan for well over 20 years.

I never mentioned any thing about lower taxes or gun control...at least I don't think I did...and the Tea Party Express is not just about taxes, it is about our Constitutional rights and the erosion of our freedoms by all these politicians that seem to think they can run over us.. Republicans and Democrats a like...and we need to "Kick Them all Out"!!!!

I am not a Libertarian I am an Independent and I voted for Ron Paul...

Now that being said there were many people taking pictures and I am sure that some where there to take the worst pictures they could to put the Rally in a bad light. I was there and thought I would comment about the crowd and the media. I am also sure there will be many pictures around from that particular rally on some of the sites, since we have been fairly active here in Nevada for quite a few years. Keep in mind that was not a Libertarian, Republican or Democratic event it was an Tax Paying American getting screwed people event.

BTW What is your cause and what do you have against Nevada.

Sen. Reid Threatens Newspaper

This is from the Review Journal...

Last Updated: Tue, 09/01/2009 - 11:06am

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has threatened the largest newspaper in his home state of Nevada for publishing a series of critical articles and editorials as he seeks a fifth term in the U.S. Senate.

The veteran Democratic lawmaker threatened economic punishment in retaliation for the negative coverage and told a senior executive at the paper, the Las Vegas Review-Journal, that he hopes it goes out of business. Over the weekend the newspaper’s publisher wrote a piece calling the senator’s remarks a full-on threat perpetrated by a bully who has forgotten that he was elected to office to protect Nevadans, not sound like he's shaking them down.

The publisher points out that Reid’s behavior is not becoming of a man who is the majority leader in the U.S. Senate and that it absolutely is not what anyone would expect from a man who now asks Nevadans to send him back to the Senate for a fifth term. “If he thinks he can push the state's largest newspaper around by exacting some kind of economic punishment in retaliation for not seeing eye to eye with him on matters of politics, I can only imagine how he pressures businesses and individuals who don't have the wherewithal of the Review-Journal,” the publisher writes.

Reid is evidently worried that the paper’s coverage of his numerous mishaps and all-time low approval ratings will cost him reelection next year. Recent news stories have documented the senator’s wasteful earmarks and exorbitant spending of tax dollars as well as statewide polls revealing that more than half of Nevada voters have an unfavorable view of him.

The paper’s recent editorials have also blasted Reid who is tight with President Barack Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. One editorial claims that reelecting Reid will keep the federal welfare flowing into recession-ravaged Nevada and help the 2011 Legislature continue to expand state government despite the private sector’s inability to sustain it. Another points out that being the face and voice of an increasingly statist, job-killing liberal agenda has exacted a political toll for Reid

The senator has also been embroiled in a series of corruption scandals in the last few years by using his influence to help a mob-connected developer secure a lucrative Las Vegas land deal in exchange for campaign contributions and a $1.1 million profit he concealed from the public. He was also involved in the Jack Abramoff lobbying scandal, taking tens of thousands of dollars from the jailed lobbyist’s Indian tribe clients and refusing to return the tainted money by claiming that “Abramoff was a Republican operative and this is a Republican scandal.”

Welcome to the forum Kathyet. There are many here who understand what this is all about and agree with you. There are many though that like to argue just for the sake of it. Don't get discouraged. We're sure Nevada and New Hampshire both have great examples all the other 48 states could learn from.

Thank you for your welcome..

I think the way we learn is from each other and to me it is important for all of us to share our concerns and what little information that we are able to gather with each other. After all if we don't know all that is going on around the country, we won't be informed on anything and may make choices that we could regret. It might be the only way to protect our way of life that our forefathers bequeathed to us.

Welcome Kathy!

Yes, Reid's days are numbered, even with the eastern NV Mormon vote. The problem is that 5% of the state area called Las Vegas Metro. There's the Ex-Californians and a socialistic doctrine imposed on the service workers there and Reid and the DNCC are counting on a economic turnaround by next year for the win in the election. They bothwill flood the area with funds over this next year.

The other problem is the leading GOP opponent, Sue Lowden, who is a Fascist Neocon and has done everything within her power to sabotage NVGOP elections/meetings, Ron Paul, our grassroots, and Libertarians. She is no friend to the US Constitution and just as destructive as Reid.

Wayne Root (Libertarian party VP nominee) in Las Vegas hasn't been much help and comes off as a kooky used car salesman which I think, hurts the cause a bit.

I have been posting the Tea Party Express actions here on RPF... but with little feedback/participation. Thanks for the in depth observations and facts. Hopefully, the grassroots here will help in this cross country tour.

One Note, ABC and NBC have refused to air the TEA PARTY EXPRESS commercials. Though the commercial appears more of an attack on Reid, Pelosi, Obama... censorship proves the state of the union related to MSM media outlets (CONTROL). Frankly the commercial could have been much better focused on Liberties, Constitution, and Freedoms, rather than attacking the BIG 3.

Here's the Campaign Financing disclosure of the current registered Nevadans in the Senatorial race:

Again Kathy... welcome!
