Our friend David Gergen decides to write something logical and coherent. Basically he says Obama needs to put healthcare on hold until we get our own financial mess in order.

It was interesting to hear him talk about Perot in '92 as he was somewhat sympathetic to what we were doing.

The Sunday before the '92 election, Gergen, Mark Shields and a couple of other talking heads are predicting the outcome of the election. The consensus was Perot would get 3% to 5%, and Gergen stuns the others by saying that he could see Perot getting 10% of the vote, and they look at him like he just said that he had returned from Mars.
