That is interesting as at least in my area: as I don't even people in my state know what a library or bookstore even is, public transportation is a complete failure, golfing is ridiculously expensive no matter what, and space...really? Fucking tarded socialist bullshit.

"The way public libraries have hurt bookstores?"

-Public libraries don't offer the same services that bookstores do. They also operate at huge losses.

"And public transportation has eliminated cars?"

-Public transportation also operates at huge losses, and also isn't available in a lot of areas (most of the country besides cities)

"Or public golf courses have shut down country clubs?"

-Most public golf courses aren't owned by the government

Not even gonna comment on the space thing, because it's so ridiculous that I can't even understand it.

Ever notice how every time these collectivist argue for the government option with examples of government involvement its always at the local level? Library, public transportation, public golf course, fire dept, police dept, etc. All local government responsibilities, vastly different from the federal level, its an apples to oranges comparison.

ignored is the opportunity cost of the government providing all those "public options"

If people wanted those services, they would have spent their money on them.
