I have seen this commercial a few times the past couple of weeks. Has anybody else seen it in their region?

The commercial is hilarious, whoever produced it has never left the city their entire adult life. Their idea of a "working man" (Mans-man drinking coffee, reading the paper, shirt-sleeves rolled up, taking care of the wife and kids..

This whole pipe dream movement is stacked with government wanna be parasites; tax eaters. Every one on this bandwagon of looters thinks the government will force the consumer to make their green company profitable, when in reality, they will simply be an fiat industry that is solely dependent on government deception and thievery.

One big fake market that is forced upon everyone.

We should tell that guy in the video that if it's needed, then the free market can provide it. Senator Stabenow has no business being in alternative energy.

Digged up a little dirt.

This is an Al Gore project. Repower America is sponsored by the "Climate Projection Fund" which is a fund of the "Alliance for Climate Protection" founded by non-other than, Al Gore.

The Alliance for Climate Protection
The Alliance for Climate Protection was founded in 2006 by Al Gore, Nobel Laureate and former Vice President of the United States. With more than 2,000,000 members worldwide, the Alliance is a unique non-profit, non-partisan organization that is committed to educating the global community about the urgency of implementing comprehensive solutions to the climate crisis. Through its projects — Repower America, the WE Campaign, and the Reality Coalition — and its affiliated organization, The Climate Protection Action Fund, the Alliance seeks to present choices and offer changes that will protect our planet for future generations.

The Alliance draws together a diverse range of individuals and organizations by acting on its belief that the climate crisis impacts every one of us and transcends differences between political parties, faiths, geographies and cultures. It regularly partners with organizations from a broad cross-section of society including representatives of labor, faith, business, schools, women, agriculture, sportsmen, and many other communities. In doing so, the Alliance brings together faces and voices in a way that diversifies and strengthens the national network of concerned individuals who want to take action now on climate issues.

The Alliance is guided by a prestigious, bi-partisan Board of Directors that includes three Nobel Prize winners and accomplished veterans from the worlds of business, politics and environmental advocacy.

So who is on the board of this alliance?

Al Gore
Chairman of the Board, Alliance for Climate Protection
Chairman, Generation Investment Management

Congressman Sherwood L. Boehlert
U.S. House of Representatives 1983-2006
Chairman, House Science Committee – 2001 - 2006
Chairman, House Water Resources and Environment Subcommittee 1995 - 2000
Member, House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee
Member, House Intelligence Committee
Co-Chair, Northeast Ag Caucus, Congressional Task Force on Manufacturing, Congressional Biomedical Research Caucus, Congressional Fire Services Caucus

Orin S. Kramer
General Partner, Boston Provident, L.P.
Chairman, New Jersey State Investment Council

Wangari Muta Maathai
Founder, The Green Belt Movement

Theodore Roosevelt IV
Managing Director, Barclays Capital
Chair of the Pew Center for Global Climate Change

Larry J. Schweiger
President & CEO, National Wildlife Federation

Brent Scowcroft
President, The Scowcroft Group
National Security Advisor to President Gerald R. Ford and President George H.W. Bush

Joseph E. Stiglitz
University Professor, Columbia University

Lee Thomas
Retired President and COO, Georgia-Pacific Corp.
Administrator, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency under President Ronald Reagan

Kevin Wall
CEO, Control Room
Producer, Live Earth/SOS

So Al Gore's firm, Generation Investment Management, a FOR-PROFIT firm, who do they list as their affiliations/alliances?

Partnerships
"We hope to make sustainable investing mainstream and encourage businesses around the world to be more responsible, ethical and sustainable."
—David Blood
Generation is proud of its close relationship with a number of leading organizations working towards a more sustainable future:

The Alliance for Climate Protection
World Resources Institute
National Resource Defense Council
The Climate Project
Mistra Foundation

So people need to realize this is all bullshit. This is Al Gore and his rich friends trying to tug on American heartstrings and saying their "green economy" will create jobs. You know what the problem is, THERE AREN'T ENOUGH PRIVATE INVESTORS WITH ANY INTEREST BECAUSE THE RISK OF LOSS IS TOO HIGH.

So what do they do? Run Bullshit ads to make you call your Congressman, and get their f'ing projects funded using taxpayer dollars.

That is what you do if you lack capital. You lobby the gov't to give you a handout.

The Green Push is bullshit.

Precisely.

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship."
