YouTube - Peter Schiff : "1,5 Mil And I´m Running For Senate! Schiff4senate.com (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Q2xLDuxuKE)

He is not sure of the date of the next moneybomb (Sept. 9-11?) but he said that he will
be definitely running when his ticker hits 1.5 million dollars.

There is no moneybomb planned for him at this time, there is a Rand Moneybomb on Sept 23rd in reaction to Trey's DC Fundraiser.

$20M? Personally, Peter, I think you could run very successfully in Connecticut with a LOT less, but ... it's your campaign. I'm willing to help as I can. I'm willing to donate another $50 to the cause, but that's it for this year. Ten thousand of my peers need to join the cause to help you reach the magic number of $1.5M .... Personally, I'll be donating before Labor Day.

IMO, Rand vs. Trey money bomb should be delayed until October.

The quarter finishes in September and Trey has a DC fundraiser with 23 Senators on September 23rd so it's perfect.

To clarify, on his recent VLOG he made it clear he would DEFINENTLY run if he hit 1.5 million before october or whatever. However that doesn't mean if he falls short of his goal, that he won't run. So lets just focus on raising 1 million for him right now.

Why should it matter who raises the most money in a quarter? Are we trying to get Rand and other candidates elected or play a game of one-upmanship?

Agreed.

Trey's DC fund raiser is scheduled for Sept. 23. So it has to happen then. That's the whole point.

My whole point is the point of holding a money bomb for the sake of one-upmanship is missing the point... ;)

Oh, well. I get the point that it's pointless to resist the point of the POINT (Primary Operative In NeTworking) of this moneybomb. ;)

Between the 50,000+ monthly viewers on this forum and Daily Paul, I don't see how we can't make any moneybomb a success. If everyone would just pitch in like 10 bucks, we'd be set. But, it appears that only about 10% (or less) of the existing supporters bother to donate which won't cut it. Perhaps an m-bomb slated at 25/head would get more people participating and those who want to go the extra mile, can.

Before we start aiming solely at Senate Seats; lets not forget we have congressional candidates that are running for the same seat as they did last year.

Jaynee Germond (R-OR-4th) is running again in 2010 and having a money bomb on Constitution Day. Please spare a dollar or two for her.

She has name recognition against someone whos been in office since 1981; but she faces stiff primary competition. Please help her out if you can.

Schiff really knows how to grind my gears lol. But i understand where he's coming from. Not only is Connecticut going to be one of the most costly senate race in the country but Peter also has to build massive name recognition to the CT residents.
