Please utilize this thread to post the latest totals on the Ron Paul "Million Dollar" thermometer.

We are currently at $738,496 dollars!

I had an idea for the next quarter.

How about a weekly goal for fundraising, that goes up week for week. Lets say the goal is to mount a seriously well-funded grassroots effort, what about:

Week 1: 500,000
Week 2: 650,000
Week 3: 800,000
Week 4: 950,000

and so on...

The idea is to keep us active in this fund-raising effort, and by constantly increasing the goal, we will have to keep getting better at finding donors.

Or... you could set a challenge, "how much can we raise in 1 week" and then just add 20% on top of the result and make that the goal for the next week, and so on.

The first option is appealing because they could set a ambitious goal from the beginning, and devide it up into doable chunks. it would probably need a "spill-over" fund where the money goes if we break the fundraising-goal for that week as well.

The second option is more dynamic, because there is no fixed final goal, and it also has the effect of keeping us all engaged.

Fundraising last quarter spiked big time on those days as much as 250% of the normal daily totals. Could we see 500K more by the end of the quarter :o

If we hit $800,000 dollars then we will only have to raise one hundred thousand dollars each day for the next two days. I think that is very doable.

But everyone needs to keep on donating. This is only going to happen if everyone chips in and does their part!
