Ron Paul never said that an audit of the Federal Reserve would be inflationary. In fact, he has credibly demonstrated the exact opposite: that the secretive Federal Reserve itself is responsible for inflation, with the dollar having lost 96% of its value since the Fed’s creation in 1913.

By standard interpretations of inflation, inflation isn't wholly JUST an increase in the money supply as by Milton Friedman's interpretation. The Fed opening up its books would expose the inflation we already have, thus being "inflationary" by showing us its actually there.

And Ron Paul does realize that. You cant tell me he hasn't talked to Frank about HR 1207. If you look at that article from Kane awhile back, you can see Frank has been talking to Paul about it.

Also, we don't know if the Federal Reserve regulatory bill and HR 1207 will be combined or if they will remain separate and passed around the same time. But I bet the former gets passed with promises from Frank to pass HR 1207.

when he said "this will probably pass in October" it was in response to what the town haller asked, did that last question include "1207"?
