Good to see she's still out there, but she's virtually alone at this point. Are there any places where the anti-war movement is still going strong? Maybe C4L should try to organize some nationwide protests.

Good for her. Yesterday I noticed that antiwar.com is still antiwar, even though Obama's the one doing the warring now. At least a few people in this country are consistent.

Honestly, I think that we should take over the anti-war movement. Liberals are complete hypocrites on this matter and we could completely put them to shame. Watch 'em try to call us racists then...

She tried to go against Nancy P. last year with little fan-fare.

Therein lies the chink in the Obamanots armor. The #1 complaint I here from them is that they thought he would end the war. Even though he never positioned himself as an anti-war candidate they felt they were voting for one. How many cars have I seen w/ an "End the War", "Peace on Earth" and "Obama-Biden" bumper stickers.

I actually had an update on my FB about this not too long ago. I posted about seeing one of those Obama peace sign bumper stickers and how that person got scammed. Then I replied to myself and said it's just as bad as those "Pro Life for McCain" stickers. Being pro war is the opposite of being pro life, right? People seem to justify the Obama thing to me by saying they were agains the Iraq war, and that we're supposed to be in Afghanistan. I'd rather just be told, "We only like war when it's our guy doing it." At least then they would be honest with themselves and me.

But like these folks told me, we're "getting out of Iraq now, so it's all good." Oh really? We haven't gotten out of WWII countries like Germany & Japan. We're there until we go broke.

One organization which was supportive was the Libertarians. at their website antiwar.com, Justin Raimondo, the editor in chief quoted Rush Limbaugh, "...She was just a pawn. She was just a woman to be used and then thrown overboard once they're through with her and they're through with her. They don't want any part of Cindy Sheehan protesting against any war when Obama happens to be president."

I'm not sure who Cindy McKinnon is, but here's another quote from the article, she's been abandoned by Code Pink and the Greens...

But, there are differences between this Camp Casey and the first. As John V. Walsh wrote in counterpunch.com, "A funny thing has happened on Cindy Sheehan's long road from Crawford, Texas to Martha's Vineyard". All of those leaders of the antiwar movement who were so supportive of her stand in Crawford are maintaining a stony silence. As Sheehan wrote in an email to Walsh, the silence is "crashingly deafening". Some of the so called "leaders" of the movement cited by Walsh as notably absent are The Nation, the American Friends Service Committee, Peace Action, Progressive Democrats of America, United for Peace and Justice, which Walsh says is practically defunct, moveon.org, which has been discredited as a front organization for the " 'other' war party", many socialist organizations and "even Code Pink". Even the Massachusetts Green Party is notably absent, though they did announce the event.

whoops thats cindy mckinney (was presidential candidate of green party & also went to mideast to protest the wars).
Mckinney has balls :D she should have been the "black" voters choice. if you were voting by color that is; much better choice than what we got :)

Good for her. there were two items that i had "hope" for "change" with the new administration: personal liberty and a downsizing of the war effort(s).

like i said, i hoped for this but did not expect it.

BTW - i wrote in Ron Paul on my ballot.

Cynthia McKinney. I voted for her.

If my choices had been Mckinney or Obama; id voted for her too. I even told a friend of mine who happens to be black when we were talking about mccain vs obama & i was explaining id vote for neither one; i said to him "if you want to vote for a black candidate vote for Cynthia Mckinney"... he asked me who she was and i told him about her.... but i know he voted for BO.

me i voted paul in primaries... voted baldwin in GE.
i wanted paul... but my state they'd of just thrown it out...so I had to vote for a 3rd party candidate... considered mckinney nader or baldwin....those were my only choices that i could have lived with :)

Yes i kindof like mckinney and YES the C4L should attempt to bring her into the fold. I like her on most things... if i remember correctly she is a little more socialist on economic issues... but i think she just needs more enlightenment from us Pauliers & liberatarians... And you HAVE to give her credit for her steadfast opposition to the Wars :) like i said above this lady has balls to get on those ships and head to the middleeast. :D

And Northeastern people NEED to help Sheehan this weekend if available to protest the wars!

McKinney was put in an Israeli jail for a week with minimal media coverage and no statements by Obama or his minions. If just about any other country on earth was detaining a former member of Congress, it would be a diplomatic issue.

Not always. Some green partiers and Naderites are not acting hypocritical.

That's doubtful.

I would however say that if a former member of Congress was getting involved in any other nations business members of this forums would be taking her to task.

Are you shocked that he voted for Obama? What has McKinney done for black people? Or Americans of any race for that matter?
