the food was there during the depression but there was no money to buy it? FDR destroyed the fucking food and kept the prices artificially high!

And I really don't get this "we can create all the money we need and there won't be inflation argument" these public bank advocates give. Who determines "need"? If this idea was so great, "we" can decide we "need" to build 5 stadiums in every city, put an astrophysics lab in every elementary school, and construct a magical transportation tube straight to Pluto to build an interplanetary base, yet somehow the money created to build these and other fantasy projects will not contribute to inflation.
