You want to know why Mike Huckabee is doing so well in the debates lately? (Besides the pandering..)

He is calm and collected in his demenor and his answers are clear and concise.

Agree with me or not, the numbers do not lie... :)

Huck won from a traditional perspective, he was smooth and pandered the best

Tancredo was ALOT better than Huckabee. Ron had some good moments too, some great ones in fact when talking about the drug war etc - we all wanted him to get that point out and he did. He did stumble a bit through a few questions though... and as far as Darfur goes, i love his stance on it, and he DID say if you really feel the need, donate your own money or time, but remember its a civil war, and what you donate might even end up in the wrong hands - i tell this to people about darfur all the time. Yet i still say, i think we as fellow human beings have an obligation to help - but not through the force of government. Ron Paul is spot on on this issue, and if you REALLY listen to what he said last night, he was absolutely right, even if he seemed "cold".

I can see how you would say that.... Even Tancredo stole some of Dr.Paul's thunder so I am surprised that he didn't get a bigger bump.

He did not seem to have the same energy as he normally does.... but Iraq was a lesser subject in this debate and the rest of the crowd did a lot of pandering.

However,
If you give the idea that we are individuals some weight, and you realize that the viewers of this debate watch the other debates too... I think the argument can be made that the person whose message changed the least between this debate and the rest should be considered most honest and a winner.

Only Alan Keyes and Ron Paul are saying the same thing to any crowd. The rest of the candidates dulled the fear mongering rhetoric this time and it was noticable to the level that this debate seemed much calmer and Ron Paul was less of a standout.

It's amazing how fast this swung to Ron Paul after this thread appeared! Either the actual number of votes for Huckabee was very small, OR we have a huge number of voters from this thread! This thread has had 231 views so far so it gives an idea that this is a very small poll if we can swing it so fast. Not like the abc or other msm polls.

You know what, it kills me when people say that Ron Paul supports spam polls. They don't get it that polls are measures of support and interest. The guy who gets the most votes has the most support and interest.
