Rather than having a Town Hall meeting here in my county, Allen Boyd is having a Health Care forum with only certain tv anchors etc asking question...everyone is pissed because my county is his most populated county...and we know he did this because 200 of us protested him when he was here last time. Here's the Citizen Summons we sent to Boyd. Tones
CITIZEN’S SUMMONS
The Bay Patriots are organizing a Town Hall meeting with Congressman Allen Boyd from 7-8:30PM in the grassy area by Amelia Arts Center immediately following the Aug. 28 Health Care Forum. For more info go to baypatriots.org or Meetup.com/Bay-Patriots.
Congressman Boyd’s office is not very happy with the Citizen’s
Summons they received this morning demanding the Congressman to meet with his constituents, and have yet to officially say he will show. We officially notified them this morning. We left no doubt as to our demand that he be there to answer to his constituents.
We did this in response to the limited access, mediated forum which most definitely IS NOT (as intimated on Boyd’s website) a Town Hall meeting. While we appreciate the intentions and efforts to bring about a forum on healthcare, there are too many unanswered questions about the Energy Bill, out of control spending and our mounting national debt, to name just a few.
We feel that Congressman Boyd serves at our discretion and should heed this call to appear. He is, in fact, OUR employee.
Please assemble peaceably by 5PM and plan to stay till 8:30PM if possible. We will be issuing a news release with the above information to all the area’s news media sources.
Send copies of this call to action to everyone you can think of and do everything possible to get this word out.
