How the MSM demonize an idea in 4 easy steps

Step #1: Find something to hate. For example requiring Obama to prove he is constitutionally able to run the country.

Step #2: Come up with a catch-word to describe people who believe in what you hate. For example "birthers"

Step #3: Associate the word (birthers) with other previously demonized words over and over again: nazis, ditto-heads, white supremacists, NASCAR dads, religious right, conspiracy theorists, racists, antisemites, Hitler, tin-foil hat haters, vigilante minutemen, fat-bald-white-men - some wonderful resources at your disposal.

Step #4: Use the word against your enemies....over and over again. You have now successfully disproven their argument via ad hominem attacks and provided the other MSM outlets with another word to use.

Of course, there are follow up activities I'd forgotten. If I worked for the MSM...I'd be such a slob at demonizing ideas without evaluating their merit.
