August has been a pretty good month for Republican U.S. Senate candidate Rand Paul as he exploded onto the scene with a strong showing in a public poll and then cashed in on a huge “moneybomb.”
He started the month making a good first impression at the annual Fancy Farm Picnic, the state's premier political event — by many accounts giving the best Republican speeches at a couple of preliminary events.
And last week things became even better when he firmed up his status as a serious candidate by getting the support of more than a quarter of the Republicans queried in a WHAS/Survey USA poll and followed that up with a monster of a fundraising day on Thursday.....
