Besides questions about the race for Reid's seat, respondents gave their views on the prospects for Sen. John Ensign, R-Nev.

Ensign is embroiled in a scandal over an extramarital affair with a former staffer and subsequent payments of $96,000 from his parents to the family of the employee.

According to the poll, 30 percent of voters said they would re-elect Ensign, 23 percent would consider a challenger and 37 percent said they would vote to replace him

hmm, what are the prospects of a liberty candidate mounting a primary challenge? do we have anyone...

We should draft Penn Jillette for Senate!!!!!

He would never run as a Republican, but he could easily get the Libertarian nomination. He actually got a few votes for President at the LNC in 2008.

How about Harry Reid's seat??

Wayne Root should run as a republican. That or some other Ron Paul republican.

He'd do great.

Wayne said he is considering it, but he says he'll run as a Libertarian not a Republican.

Sen. Ensign isn't up for election in 2010. See http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm?State=NV

Ensign is class I: http://www.senate.gov/reference/glossary_term/class.htm

His next election challenge is in 2012.

Root is a jackass, but I guess he would still be 1000x better than Dingy Harry!
