Just wondering.

I was impressed by him more on his recent appearance on Freedom Watch.

You know, even if Harris doesn't win -- by forcing this statist to feel some pain in the Primary, you're going to force his policies more toward the Constutitionalist-libertarian direction -- because he's not going to want to feel pain next cycle.

And, if Harris' opponent wins, but then looses in the General? It'll be real easy for Harris to run in 2 years an win the primary.

Agreed. Any word on polling? The earlier we get an idea of Harris' viability, the better. If this campaign is going somewhere, lets get it off the ground. If it isn't, let's know now so we can pull the plug and move on to other ventures.

Internal polls are fine and dandy, but I'd rather go on a 3rd party poll.

In that district? A Republican will never lose.

Just because the Harris campaign farmed out the field work on the poll doesn't make it a real third party polling effort because the campaign has their fingers in the project, even if it's on something as simple as picking the language in the questions asked. That said, I disagree with the linked post that campaign-hired polls don't show a skew in favor of the candidate. I stopped commissioning polls for my candidates years ago because of just that problem. In order to get a truly unbiased poll, the polling company needs to think they're working for a third party - so I started hiring pollsters by pretending to be media.
