Note, for Barack Obama to be the 45th President, he (or someone) will have to "change" America twice. Once into nonexistence, and then back again.

I think Obama will lose in 2012. I think the economy will be bad.

If RP ran, we'd see the biggest grassroots campaign in the history of the world. A close associate, such as Judge Napolitano, would also generate a similar effect, and he'd have some mainstream cred. Gary Johnson would have libertarian support, but has no name recognition and would probably do about as well as RP did in 08.

If I had to bet now, I'd say Huckabee.

There will be no 45th Prez, we will have the first Czar of North America.

It'll be between Huckabee or Gingrich, probably. Unless Romney somehow buys himself the nomination, then we'll have to wait for 2016, where Rand Paul will get it :).

Just trying to be a realist. I think Obama's ratings will be high thanks to the media. Even though we will be in an inflation nightmare, I predict the piss and vinegar that we're seeing over healthcare will subside and he will win by another landslide.

I do think the republicans will win several seats next year, and they will go right back to their fiscal immorality overnight.

But I hope I'm wrong :D

Dude! Why isn't Gary Johnson in this poll?

the most likely scenarios imo are

(1) Sarah Palin as a 3rd party independent
(2) Ron Paul as a Republican
(3) random neocon(if Palin doesn't run and RP doesn't win the primaries)

I have a bad feeling a random NeoCon will win in 2012. Hopefully Liberty candidates will gain strength in the Congress and keep taking over the GOP.

He is in the poll, under the category of "other". :D

Besides, I'm going to have to google him to find out who he is. :p

update:

Wow, he does sound like a great choice. I'm a little queasy about the privatization of prisons (maybe some company would have incentive to get more inmates out of the general public) but other than that sounds like a great guy.

I want Ron Paul to be the next president. But I see the GOP getting behind that arrogant, keynesian neocon Mitt Romney.

I think it'll either be Obama or some random Dark House we don't know of yet.

If the economy improves (unlikely) then Obama is a good chance of getting re-elected, but I'm pretty certain the next president will be a Republican like Romney or Gingrich.

Prolly a dark horse we don't know much, if anything, about yet.
