CHICAGO (Reuters) – The U.S. government announced grants of almost $1.2 billion on Thursday to help hospitals and health care providers establish and use electronic health records.
This is wrong on so many levels.
First off why isn't the for profit health care system spending it's own money for updating it's record keeping system instead of the taxpayers?
How secure will this medical records database be? By design it would have to be accessible to every emergency room in the country, so not very secure at all.
$1,200,000,000. given away to the health care industry? WTF?
