In 2008, Ron Paul failed to translate his huge financial haul and the fervor of his supporters into that many raw votes in primaries, he had to divide up his attention in many states, fight for attention against 5 serious Republican candidates and generally not look threatening enough to be taken seriously.

I don't agree with the above quote that ron had huge financial backing. $36 million while not chump change isn't a lot to compete at presidential level campaigning.
