President's side doing too little, too late
to stop an increasingly violent and
vocal surge of conservative opposition

...

One particularly disturbing innovation among conservative activists is for protesters to show up at rallies where Mr. Obama is speaking carrying pistols and rifles. The guns are legal and they pose no threat to the President … but still.

Militias and other fringe groups tend to ebb and flow with the arrival or departure of Democratic administrations. Heidi Beirich, research director at the Southern Poverty Law Center, observes that the election of an African-American president has further fuelled their anger.

“Because Obama is an African-American, there's a racialized aspect to this movement that didn't exist in the 1990s,” she said. Hence the birthers movement, which maintains Mr. Obama was not born in the United States and therefore has no legal right to be president.

“It's hard to dismiss that as not a race thing,” Ms. Beirich said.

The guy clearly hates black people. He also has some type of dark smudge on the back of his neck.

 It was only a matter of time. All black people are supposed to support Obama right? It's funny how right after the election random white people would come up to me and say "Yeah! We did it brother! We got Obama elected!" I never had the heart to tell them that I didn't vote for their man.

Amazing, isn't it? Or is stunning the word for it?

Collectivism is so embedded.

MSNBC said that the black guy was racist too.... they actually edited the video to conceal the guy's head, so viewers couldn't see he was black.

The anchor actually said he was a white guy!!! She just assumed it!

Every issue on tv seems to be about race baiting. Wonder how long till they start using the term "self loathing black people"?

 And notice that the token black anchor tried to tie anger over 9/11 into "racism" even though those protests started under Bush's watch. I'm waiting for someone to say "Those upset over the government's handling of Katrina are white racists".

Well, yes, you o-bots are obviously having a great deal of trouble not playing your little race card. The way you're deceiving people in the effort to keep this discussion, which is in no way about race, about race makes it quite obvious that the race card is not only the only trump card you have, but is the only card you have. Too bad your position can't stand on the facts, isn't it lady?

I still want to run the gentleman in the primary for senior senator from Arizona.

In their defense. The guy with the gun was obviously a blind black white supremacist.

That's pretty much all you need to read in that article to know what it's all about. These are the same people who were largely responsible for the MIAC debacle.

I swear, I've officially decided, for myself anyway, that MSNBC is the worst news corporation out there. I've been thinking it for a while as of late, but this has sealed the deal. I cannot believe how much they use the race card on anything!

You know, it might be fun to measure their use of all forms of the word 'race' (including 'racist') against how often it's used by, say, Motorsport International or The Thoroughbred Times.

Of course it seems that since the 3rd quarter of 2007 there's been an uptrend (at least a doubling) of news reports using the term 'racist'.
