I gotta say, these guys have balls to do this.

It's a business.

They are risking the loss of customers during a recession in exchange for the expression of their views.

Pretty awesome damn awesome imo.

I will be calling them to tell them to keep up the good work.

If you want to do the same, the area code is (619)

Good for them. I might give them a call to applaud their courage, but I feel kinda bad knowing I have no intentions of ever patronizing them.

Go ahead and call, I have no doubt that they are going to get a lot of crap for this.

A few supportive calls might help convince them to keep it up. :)

I was not expecting that to be in area code 619.

Well, good old El Cajon had massive amounts of Ron Paul signs during the election and all of Rancho San Diego had a very strong majority of McCain signs in comparison to Obama signs.

A quick google searched showed me this is not the first time Randy Hynd has spoken out against government intervention. He is another patriot who has finally had enough!

San Diego Business Journal, Dec 14, 1998
"The California Air Resources Board (CARB) was expected to vote last week on a proposal that would sharply reduce emissions from marine engines. If approved, the proposal would require outboard engines in California to cut their hydrocarbon and nitrogen-oxide emissions 32 percent more than what's already required by the federal Environmental Protection Agency...."This is a major concern of ours," said Randy Hynd, president of Sunset Marine. Hynd's company sells outboard motors..."This is going to hurt our business big time. They're (CARB) making unreasonable demands on the outboard motor manufacturers," Hynd said. "The EPA already has standards established, and we're meeting those standards."
