You want to help the poor?

So do I.

Why are we here wranging over this theft when we could be helping someone?

Not sure I understand.

Not sure I understand.

These liberals are motivated by a fervent desire to help the unfortunate, right? So, why is wrangling with us more productive for the poor than if we all just went out and helped the poor?

Yeah, thus the purpose of the thread. I'm having trouble getting the thought articulated in a sign-length number of words.

The point I'm trying to make is, if you want to help someone, help someone. If you're too busy with your politics to help someone, then it must be something else you want other than to help someone.

Ohhhh, okay. You're looking for some sort of quote. I thought, upon first reading, that you thought we should help poor people by sending them protest signs.

How about:

"Hey Libs! Leave us alone and go help some poor people, you jerks!" :D

I'd be out helping the poor with my own two hands if I weren't here trying to save the nation from you instead...?

Still doesn't quite make the point that there must be something more to their agenda than altruism...

How does this scan:

Want to help people or rob me?

'Cause you and I could go help someone who needs it right now...

want to help people or rob people?

And if you want to help, why are we wasting time here?

Yes, I do believe that's the idea. Thanks, torch.

Yeah, that's pretty good. Bring info on some local shelters and refer people to them.

There's this great "libertarian" type of mens shelter here in town that I support when I can. It's run by this very cool nun who allows homeless men to stay with absolutely no missionarying, no pushing 12 steps, no lectures, no Jesus-pushing.
The men are even allowed to be drunk or high when they get there (though they obviously can't bring it in the house), and as long as they don't cause any trouble, they can stay.

If they want some type of help, she'll get it for them, but it's never pushed. One of the former homeless "guests" is now the house supervisor.

Maybe you guys have something like that there?

Compassionate Bureaucracy? No Way. Go out, show you care.

You don't help the poor

By giving politicians

A piece of the pie.

It's even haiku.

Lol. Well, I need something for the other side of the sign. Not sure that's it, though...

"What's more compassionate, Gov't programs or the Red Cross?"

Feel free to insert your favorite health related charitable organization.

Why is it that those who profess to care the most for the poor, do the least to help them?

You'd help with my dough.

I'd work less just to pay tax

and help with my hands.

Is haiku magic?

A great holy form or just

forcing brevity?

Forcing health care at the point of a gun is neither moral nor compassionate!

Ask the Native Americans....

Ask the Veterans....

They get the best the Government has to offer.
