It's no surprise that the media didn't touch his comments to Hillary at last night's debate. I've been looking for a youtube of that smackdown, and I can't seem to find one. Does anyone know where I can find a video clip of that telling incident?

I'm not too surprised that the media hasn't touched upon it as much as they should have. After all, Gravel slammed Hillary for giving the thumbs up to attack Iran. Most of the reports that I've read have mentioned that Gravel said he was ashamed of Hillary, but none of them bothered to mention why he was ashamed. So much for journalistic integrity.

I found the transcripts and a few videos from last night (linked here (http://www.wakeupfromyourslumber.com/node/3777)) but I don't have the time to go through each clip to see if the following exchange is included in any of them. Here's a link to the transcripts. (http://ipol-2008.blogspot.com/2007/09/transcript-of-dartmouth-debate.html)

RUSSERT: Senator, are you suggesting that these candidates
suspend their campaigns, go back to Washington, and for 40 consecutive
days vote on the war?

GRAVEL: If it stops the killing, my God, yes, do it.

And, Tim, you're really missing something. This is fantasy land.
We are talking about ending the war. My God, we're just starting a
war right today. There was a vote in the Senate today. Joe
Lieberman, who authored the Iraq resolution, has offered another
resolution and it is essentially a fig leaf to let George Bush go to
war with Iran.

I want to congratulate Biden for voting against it, Dodd for
voting against it.

And I am ashamed of you, Hillary, for voting for it. You're not
going to get another shot at this because what happens if this war
ensues, we invade, and they're looking for an excuse to do it. And
Obama was not even there to vote.

Hillary's laugh made my day!

If for only a second, you could hear terror in that laugh.

Hillary's face has had an amazing amount of work. And her dress suit sure is pretty. And I love how she stalls to read her lines.

The way I see it is that the Republicans had the most colossal con job pulled on them in the history of the party, it is now the Democrats turn. The Republicans were deceived, it is now the Democrats turn to be deceived. The difference is that the Republicans are now realizing it.

Agreed. I'm not down with his direct democracy drivel, but he is the only one that keeps the Dem debate honest. The moderators sure won't.
I still haven't figured out what the Dems see in Hillary. Why not vote for Kucinich or Gravel and at least be able to sleep at night. Hillary's laugh is going to give me nightmares tonight.
