To me this translates to:

"I'm more concerned about my legacy as a president than the real long term effects of my primary economic policies."

Sorry Obama. You fail the test once again.

This obongo care is a killing machine and will give him draconian powers over every soul. They have already passed the first part of this thing, it was in the stimulus bill.

They are now already working on the infrastructure to put it into place. I predict they will slam it down our throats and then they will use it with the military to jab us with the kill virus.

People it is shtf time. He knows there will be no more elections, he isn't worried about a second term.

Self-sacrifice to further the agenda of the NWO (the transformation of America into a fascist/communist empire). He's just being a good little puppet.

To me it translates " It doesn't matter if I have a second term the New World Order people will make me the President of the World at the UN." tones

If he is so confident about his plan, then he shouldn't be worried about getting reelected- if it works like he believes it will, he would pretty much have the next election won.

I was thinking it makes him look principled, determined, and bullied by status quo politics. He's willing to put his career aside to fight for what he believes is right in a "Mr. Smith Goes To Washington" fashion -- no compromise -- the kind of stuff we're always praising about Dr. Paul.

That's the question of the year, I guess.

Lets hope so!

I think a lot of Dems are going to loose their seats over this BS, and hopefully it will NEVER pass!

That is exactly the move. Its just rethoric in good Obama style.

My theory. The Congress will pass a watered down version of universal health care... more acceptable to their constituents. Then in typical congressional form... they will then sneak everything they want into the plan via other congressional votes.... such as an agricultural bill... military spending bills, lol... On page 1050 some random death panel will be instituted and the public will be none the wiser.

I don't know if he truly means it, but if he does I suppose that shows something.
Too bad his idea sucks. I'd like to see such used for good instead of evil.

He couldn't make a hair out of the ass of Mr. Smith that went to washington.

I think most people who have ever had state Medicaid or been a medical professional that served the Medicaid population understands why socialized health care is a bad idea. The state/fed goverment is *not* able to take care of the poor and/or elderly people and pay for their proper care, why would anyone think expanding the program to the entire population is a good idea. My state is 6 months behind in payments to Medicaid providers....the federal government is trillions (or are we up to quadrillions yet?) dollars in debt. Even if socialized medicine were a good idea, the fact is there are NO funds to pay for it.

This post is going to get reported to the guvment, ain't it?

Translation:

"I'd rather ignore the will of the people, and force socialism down thier throats, than get re-elected, because I'm smarter than them. The mindless little peasants will thank me later"

Well, at least you can't accuse him of doing nothing except playing to the poll numbers like Willy CLinton

Looks like BO is getting ready to compromise.

Dare we, ahem, hope? Or will Dems kill the bill without the "public option" and then lay the blame on the Reps?

Personally, I'm a whole lot more comfortable with a "reform" plan that replaces public option with private co-ops and that drops the so-called death panels completely.

Yes, I just turned 18 in May, but I don't want to change my screen-name.
