Ok, so I was watching Reefer Madness over the weekend and there was a pretty interesting part of the movie.

The guy who wanted to "stop the reefer" went to his local Federal Bureau of Investigation and asked if anything could be done to stop this menace. The government guy said that there wasn't much that could be done considering marijuana was grown in all states of the union, so they wouldn't be able to use the Interstate Commerce clause to control it.

This was a movie created to stop marijuana back in the day, and yet it was more pro-marijuana legalization than most anti-marijuana people of today.

Also, during the court case to try one of the guys for murder the prosecutor was saying "Don't judge him on what his mental state might have been, judge him based on his actions.". Completely opposite of the current prosecutors who bring up right away that the person was high at the time (implying guilt).

The First Anti-Pot Propaganda does make for an interesting time capsule, doesn't it? My, how far they've come since then... :(
