YouTube - Muse - Uprising (Full Song) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AY6jV-U56Y4)

Lyrics:
The paranoia is in bloom, the PR
The transmissions will resume
They'll try to push drugs
Keep us all dumbed down and hope that
We will never see the truth around
(So come on!)

Another promise, another scene, another
A package not to keep us trapped in greed
With all the green belts wrapped around our minds
And endless red tape to keep the truth confined
(So come on!)

[Chorus]
They will not force us
They will stop degrading us
They will not control us
We will be victorious

Interchanging mind control
Come let the revolution take its toll if you could
Flick the switch and open your third eye, you'd see that
We should never be afraid to die
(So come on!)

Rise up and take the power back, it's time that
The fat cats had a heart attack, you know that
Their time is coming to an end
We have to unify and watch our flag ascend

[Chorus]
They will not force us
They will stop degrading us
They will not control us
We will be victorious

Hey .. hey ... hey .. hey!
(repeat)

[Chorus]
They will not force us
They will stop degrading us
They will not control us
We will be victorious

Hey .. hey ... hey .. hey!

YouTube - Muse - United States Of Eurasia (Including Collateral Damage) - Full Version + Lyrics (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSMeapYF0us)

You and me are the same
We don't know or care who's to blame
But we know that whoever holds the reins
Nothing will change
Our cause has gone insane

And these wars, they can't be won
And these wars, they can't be won
And do you want them to go on
And on and on
Why split these states
When there can be only one?

And must we do as we're told?
Must we do as we're told?

You and me fall in line
To be punished for unproven crimes!
And we know that there is no one we can trust;
Our ancient heroes, they are turning to dust!

And these wars, they can't be won
Does anyone know or care how they begun?
They just promise to go on
And on and on
But soon we will see
There can be only one

United States!
United States!
Of...

Eurasia!
...sia!
...sia!
...sia!

Eurasia!
...sia!
...sia!
...sia!

Eurasia!
...sia!
...sia!
...sia!

I know this song is about a book he read by a leading foreign policy guy in the U.S. about how the U.S. is forbidding Asia + Europe to get along fearing they will form against the U.S. and start a world war. Interesting none the less. That plus there is a 1984 influence.

The thing I never got about punk/alternative rock was that it's supposed to be anti-establishment.

So wouldn't that call for a very small establishment (establishment = government)?

Instead, a lot of the artists are leftists who want to grow the establishment, and want government to control every aspect of people's lives...

Most are environmentalist green freaks who want to "save" the whales. The only thing they got right is that most are anti-war.

I will say I have been listening to Muse for a long time and they are en exception. I have gotten the impression they are quite libertarian. :o

He's indirectly saying that Zbigniew Brzezinski is the root of his songs...and ZIONISM.

Punk certainly has an extraordinary libertarian influence.

The lyrics of "Hunting for Witches" caught me off guard a couple days ago... Put a big smile on my face.

YouTube - Bloc Party - Hunting For Witches (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmPNuruWMTA)

I am sitting
On the roof of my house
With a shotgun
And a six pack of beer, six pack of beer, six pack of beer.

The newscaster says the enemy's among us
As bombs explode on the 30 bus,
Kill your middle class indecision,
Now is not the time for liberal thought,

So I go hunting for witches
I go hunting for witches
Heads are going to roll
I go hunting for...

90's, optimistic as a teen.
Now its terror
Airplanes crash into towers, into towers, crash into towers.

The Daily Mail says the enemy's among us,
Taking our women and taking our jobs,
All reasonable thought is being drowned out
By the non-stop baying, baying, baying for blood

So I go hunting for witches
I go hunting for witches
Heads are going to roll
I go hunting for...

I was an ordinary man with ordinary desire
I watched TV it informed me
I was an ordinary man with ordinary desire
There must be accountability

Desperateand misinformed
Fear will keep us all in place

So I go hunting for witches
I go hunting for witches
Heads are going to roll
I go hunting for...

I was an ordinary man with ordinary desires
I watched TV and it formed me
I was an ordinary man with ordinary desires
There must be accountability

Desperateand misinformed
Fear will keep us all in place

Or just that one song and how he finds it creepy they may be doing something like that.

Uprising was really good. But United States of Eurasia was absolutely amazing. Anyone else get a heavy Queen vibe from it?
