Here is the web site that is trying to get Beck's advertisers to pull. They are winning. I know a lot of you hate GB but for those of you who see the benefit in utilizing him as a mouthpiece, then please help us keep him on the air.

I know from personal experience, that emailing him suggestions and info will get aired. I'm not saying he is paying particular atttention to my emails (in fact his team probably ignores me by now) but I strongly believe that others are sending him the same or similar things and he is acting on it.

Here is the site: http://www.democrats.com/boycott-fox-news-advertisers

“On Tuesday, August 4, GEICO instructed its ad buying service to redistribute its inventory of rotational spots on FOX-TV to their other network programs, exclusive of the Glenn Beck program,” said a spokesperson for GEICO Corporate Communications in an email to ColorOfChange.org. “As of August 4, GEICO no longer runs any paid advertising spots during Mr. Beck’s program.”

“We applaud GEICO and all of the other companies who have stepped forward to pull their ads from Glenn Beck,” said James Rucker, executive director of ColorOfChange.org. “Beck’s rhetoric is dangerous to the fabric of our democracy, and we are heartened that so many big companies feel the same way. We won’t stop here — we’re going to continue our fight to see that as many of Beck’s advertisers pull their support as possible.”

Dear [TTG],

Thank you for contacting Men’s Wearhouse and bringing to our attention your concerns with the Glenn Beck program on Fox News. While we support free speech and do not make advertising decisions based on our own personal ideologies, after reviewing his recent incendiary comments we have decided to remove our advertising from his program. We hope that this decision will allow you to continue to patronize Men’s Wearhouse. I would encourage you to please share our decision with anyone else who may have expressed a similar concern.

Thank you again for contact Men’s Wearhouse.

Sincerely,

Matt Stringer

Unfortunately for the left, Beck has about 1.9 million TV watchers and I think 1 million people signed up on his 9/12 project site, so I suspect his loyal watchers/listeners will fight back if he really gets concerned.

Okay, this is telling:

A Fox News spokesperson told TVNewser that the advertisers simply moved their spots from Beck to other programs on the network, "so there has been no revenue lost." http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/fnc/glenn_becks_racist_comment_sends_advertisers_elsew here_123710.asp

So, maybe these advertisers realize that it would be utterly stupid to pull their ads from the highest rated cable news network on TV. ??? I don't know how this works. If they just rotate their ads to other shows, then there's no revenue impact? Does anyone know?

Oh he's concerned. He has told his audience that they are after him and that we need to speak up.

What fucking pussies!!!!!

Beck is defending their right to conduct business and they pull his ads over a few letters from Marxists who would destroy their businesss!!!!

This is why I will NEVER go back to the soulless, gutless world of Dilbertized corporate America!

The elite controlled foundations run the "left" nonprofits organizing braindead left-public to "attack" elite controlled media puppet servicing the supposedly "right" public.

Why should someone care what one part of the system does to another part of the system, except for the fact that they dupe good people into doing it for them?

This is pure insanity.

GB looks as controlled as any other talking head, it's like the FAKE 'don't taze me bro' video.....scare tactic to suppress the real opposition, imo.

So why doesn't the right demand that Olbermann be removed for his vicious insults?

Because right now, he's getting our message out, and waking people up. And you would know that if you watched or listened to him. At this point in time, he is a good mouthpiece for the movement.

My response:

I am utterly disgusted at Men's Warehouse for submitting to petty politics in removing their advertising from airing during the Glenn Beck Program on FNC. I do not watch the Beck program, and I do not watch Fox News, but I was a Men's Warehouse shopper. I say was, because you can no longer enjoy my patronage. A company that will bend it's will to left wing ideologues for political expediency is not a company which I wish to reward with my business. I hope you are happy with your politically motivated advertising decision, because I will never purchase a suit from you again, I guarantee it.

Perhaps what we need to do is initiate the same type of campaign against the likes of Olbermann, Matthews, etc.

Good idea. We can use the web site I posted in the OP as a model. Let's turn it on them. Anyone willing to do the web site? I'll pay for the domaine name.

This would be far more damaging to MSNBC than it is to Foxnews considering what low ratings they have. Especially Mathews ratings which are really in the toliet. Considering they are already hemorrhaging and you knock off a few advertisers it could be enough to see anchor replacements at MSNBC.

I find it hard to believe that someone is not already doing this so maybe we should poke around first.

EDIT: I found one couple, not sure if they are active.

Thanks, I was particularly pleased with my sign off of "I guarantee it". I wonder if the irony will be lost on the thick head that receives it.

FOX isn't even responding so far. They should be all over Olbermann's case for labeling the tea parties as terrorist events.

As far as Beck, whatever he said in the past I am setting it aside for now since he is currently on message.

btw - Is this site worth while or someone else doing a better job at it?

They have gone completely insane over there. They are now boycotting the environmentally friendly organic company Whole Foods because the CEO is a libertarian who disagrees with them on healthcare.

My local Comcast keeps them distantly seperated from the rest of the News channels. Haha.

Not deleted - those posts were moved into a new thread "Split from The left is waging war..." located in the vent.

Carry on.
