Kentucky U.S. Sen. Jim Bunning, a Southgate resident and Campbell County native, is scheduled to attend as are two of the Republicans who want his seat: Secretary of State Trey Grayson of Boone County; and Bowling Green physician Rand Paul.

The picnic is Saturday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the private picnic area #1 of A.J. Jolly Park, which is south of Alexandria on U.S. 27.

The leadership potentially thinks that if they make the race between Rand and Trey, that Trey will fare better. I know nothing of the political landscape in KY or strategies to win, just thinking out loud here...

Tough to say... Bill just doesn't have much of a chance at this point to do much damage either way. But, anything can happen.

to meantion Bill's full name is a kindness and then some.
he could draw a dissident and/or confused vote of sorts in the primary...
or if he has relatives, they all might vote for he. i think he cuts into trey grayson.
