In a free market each individual consumer is supreme;the market bows to the needs of each. When the government is the sole consumer it becomes the supreme dictator and decider of who gets what. We all bow to the governments needs - obedience to the single will.
Single payer = Government issue.
Central Dictated Healthcare. Where by the 'Single Payer' has at his discretion the ability to discriminate and ration healthcare based on your lifestyle choices and obedience to the government will.
In Canada we have line ups, we have out of control expenditures and we are in the process of 'model of care' reorganization ( cut backs and emergency restructuring). We are not a model of sustainability by any measure. As long as the printing press runs our Healthcare runs... when it stops this fact reveals its self much to the embarrassment of those who endorse it.
When will people wake up and realize that when the government invites itself, or is invited into a problem, it sabotages, destroys and then takes over. It has done that with healthcare it will continue to consume other areas of the free market until it controls everything.
If the trend is left to continue we all work for the government directly or indirectly. Step by step, good intentions and bad policy will deliver us all in to slavery by the government for the government. We will each become expert lobbyists in competition with our neighbors in hopes of securing our subsistence at anothers expense - in other words the system will turn us into the corruption that we see displayed in government today.
One giant God forsaken welfare system - this is what all socialists are working for. They call it the future, I call it an end of civilization.
