While reading the comments following a posting about Ron Paul on one of the mainstream news outlets, I came across a link to this blog that explained everything about the economy using Poker and Tomatoes. I thought it was brilliant, even though I wasn't sure everything was 100% accurate, because it captured the essence of the con that is fiat money/fractional reserve banking.

Please Digg (http://digg.com/business_finance/Understanding_the_Economy_via_Poker_and_Tomatoes) if you like the article (http://www.tomatobubble.com/id39.html).

LOL! I knew it was a Ron Paul supporter, but wasn't sure it was someone on this site. Great job with the article. I sent it to my mother, and she said it made things so easy for her to understand. Hopefully, the title of the Digg submission is catchy enough that it eventually catches fire and a lot of eyes get exposed to it.

modesty aside....I have been able to break through to MANY people with that site.....folks who never thought they'd be able to grasp so much history, politics, and economics so quickly...

like u said, it's not perfect....but it serves as a very effective "crash course" for newbies.

I'll be handing out fliers for it at the next Tea Party

Great job putting this in layman's terms. This is something that can resonate with the apolitical.
