..that all of this commotion about healthcare is so that they can give us a so-called "compromise" plan? I feel like this is just a balloon being floated right now. Everyone thinks that the government wants to give us full socialized healthcare. So they have this parade of congress critters going out their with the illusion that they are trying to sell the public on socialized healthcare.

After the resistance to this is clear, they will then say they are coming up with a "compromise", which will be their plan all along to slowly take over healthcare. So instead of going from 50% socialist healthcare to 100%, they will come back and give us 75%. Then the protestors will be quelled and most people will think they were "effective" in not letting the gov't get away with socialized healthcare, but meanwhile, the gov't is laughing all the way to the bank with more of our money and a shittier system.

I was just saying in another thread despite the protests and whatever happens it is going to pass just a little later than the white house wanted. Your description I believe is exactly along the lines of what will happen if it does not pass as is.

If that is the case I am hoping other people are thinking the same way and already are wise to this. Therefore when the media celebrates the compromise the people will hopefully not fall in line. I suspect though the media will demonize whomever is not celebrating the compromise along with them.

I can see O'Reilly now blasting the protesters not going along with the compromise as people that simply just hate Obama.

Good observation. I don't know if there is some secret plan to do this or not, but I do think it's exactly what will happen.

I doesn't even have to be some secret plan, that is the nature of bargaining, you go after way more than you're hoping to get and you end up somewhere in the middle. Only they are bargaining with each other over our money, so it sucks to be us ATM.

Then over time they can add back what was compromised when the people are not paying attention. They will then vote back in the lost items on a Friday before a holiday weekend.

We've got the momentum and attention right now - how about a pledge to vote your congress critter out of office if they vote for this bill?

How many states have laws allowing you to impeach a congress critter?

That's never worked and never will work.

The whole thing is a big distraction while the Oligarchy raise oil prices and deploy troops to deal with martial law ...
