Check out this article on the Lieberman Kyl amendment:

I wrote this on a facebook wall post to one of my Obama supporting friends:

"Zach! I'm pretty disappointed in your boy Obama. He and John McCain were the only Senators who didn't vote on the Lieberman-Kyl amendment, which threatens to “combat, contain and [stop]” Iran via “military instruments.” First of all, he should have voted AGAINST it, but by abstaining he really says that he is just too afraid to vote yes or no because he fears either could be detrimental to his presidential campaign...

I like Obama but I'm really disappointed about this. It seems like he cares more about his poll numbers for his presidential campaign and doesn't really have any principles when it comes to making these decisions. One thing's for sure... he won't be able to abstain if he is President! He would have to make a decision either way, and he didn't do that. Not a very Presidential move I don't think!"

I think abstaining from this really shows Obama's true colors... he is not principled, and is only concerned with winning the white house. Disappointing. Make sure you point this out to your Obama supporting friends.

But thats been his ploy ALL ALONG... dont you love how he loves to run around telling everyone how he would have voted AGAINST the Iraq War... of course... he wasn't in the Senate at the time..... so OF COURSE he would have voted against it....NOT!!

If we attack Iran this is going to be even worse than Vietnam. Everyone is sick of war in general, we've been in war since 2001 and Iran is no pushover, it is a formidable military might ( excluding the use of nuclear weapons ) , if we want to start the powder keg in the middle east , we do this and the whole region goes into largescale war.

Hillary voted yes.

Edwards didn't vote. Is he still a senator? He wasn't on the "didn't vote" list.

here is the link.

Edwards is no longer a Senator. He was previously a NC Senator. Here's a quick snapshot of the democrats and the offices they currently hold.
