Even though it's a short mention, it's still a mention.

In the case of Rand Paul, who is seeking one of Kentucky's Senate seats, being the son of Texas Rep. Ron Paul probably won't have much impact on his chances, based on Hess's observations.

"This thing is off the board in that regard," said Hess, noting that Rand Paul is not even in the same state, much less district, as his father.

"I can't imagine that Ron Paul, a sort of maverick congressman from Texas, should make a lot of difference in his son's race."

where is william henry harrison's name?
his grandson benjamin harrison won over our
incumbant potus grover cleveland ...and then in
1892 he lost his re-election bid ...to ...grover cleveland

Matt, he beat you to it!
We sometimes need a
thread just for all the new
news and op~ed pieces!

in the piece, i don't see the names of both benjamin harrison
and his grandfather, william henry harrison! do i need a NEW pair
of eyeglasses or mayhap bi-focal rEVOLUTIOn specs?!??? --- just when
a good eye doctor decides to get very political, i start to miss things...
in print, maybe... and i sorta wonder if the writer FORGOT two very
important potuses or now my middle-aged eyes are sorta catching up with me...

Seems to be some odd positioning to fit the Paul's into this article.

matt collins,

i have an idea that might be neat and nice!
like is there any way to do a sequence of images
as a take-off where we show a blimp with Rand Paul's
name on it over some good ole bluegrass???
if Rand can afford the same, he needs
his own blimp or a model airplane
with an aptly worded banner...

Aratus
08-10-2009, 03:32 PM
also, isn't Rand Paul
just maybe a few inches taller
than his ole man???

media-wise, he's battling a savy soap opera hunk guy who is a D.A
and now wants to play "Bad Bad Leroy Brown" at his rallies, so as to counter
the spoiled rich kid silver spoon impession some of the voters might have...
and then we have trey grayson sorta forgetting his coonskin cap as a tradecoat
head*gear because maybe the dan'l boone & davy crockett fannish outburst
that disney studios whumped up is something the kids my age, we boomers
who are eisenhower babies, did merrily get totally drawn into
and wonderously historically enlightened by...

i liked fess parker...

if & when i spot TREY GRAYSON dragging about a flintlock replica an' wearin' a coonskin cap,
i must MUST resist the impulse to recommend that RAND PAUL wear a stethoscope at tymes...

however, if we spoof the political cartoon up above ( in good clean fun!) lets explore how
we might have large or small planes fly at some of the rallies with a banner... it would
be neat to fly a small radio controlled plane with a large "RAND PAUL IN 2010" banner!
blimps can be sometimes expensive. the superbowl blimp idea had its moments i think...

Aratus

i do think it would be sorta neat to run with a spin-off of the blimp idea
and not go to whole hog with the same! ---the ole fashion'd campaigning!
admittedly gov. william mckinley won in 1896 via a front porch campaign over
the tub thumping tree stump stumping populist/democrat william jennings bryan!

Seems to be some
odd(s*fish) positioning to fit the
Pauls into this article.

does the writer imply a big league,
now that 'lame duck' jim bunning retires
all these baseball & sportsmanship metaphors
gracefully?? john adams & ole man eloquence???
