LAKE JACKSON — Congressman Ron Paul will update members of the Lake Jackson Business Association about congressional issues during the group’s next monthly meeting.
Members rated Paul, R-Lake Jackson, as the person they most wished to hear about issues that face them as area businessmen and women, said board member Tohma Morrison.
The event wil be at noon Wednesday at Wurst Haus in Lake Jackson. It is for members and their invited guests only, Morrison said. Though he wishes he could invite the public, space does not allow it, he said.
The Lake Jackson Business Association is for businesses that operate or do business in the area, board member Jennifer Caulkins said. They support community events like this summer’s Concerts on the Plaza, she said.
The point of the meetings is to keep up to date with issues that could affect businesses, she said.
