positive article.. I just didn't like the "Obviously, at this stage of the game, it’s unlikely that either Paul or Huckabee is going to take the Republican nomination."

I don't like any part of that sentence.

Obviously, at this stage of the game, it’s unlikely

Obviously - nothing is obvious in politics
At this state of the game - anything can happen at this early stage of the game
It's unlikely - When nothing is obvious and anything can happen, his whole sentence fails to hold up.

I agree. The only thing obvious is how out of touch with America everyone in the Beltway seems to be.

I got a buddy I grew up with and am really good friends with who works in DC. However, his views are whacked. The zeitgeist there must be really strong.

Whenever there is a straw poll or a debate, Dr. Paul is usually at the top and Mike Huckabee is close behind. I think that as more Republicans realize that these men have the grassroots support, you will see their numbers escalate.

The people in D.C. are going to be shocked beginning in January.
