Probably to stop executive agreements? I too would like an explanation that is better put together than the one I was prepared to give.

Well, I wouldn't want him to switch our currency to something else, but would this ban competing currencies as well?

I doubt it, since it states that a President can't adopt it. Seems like a check on Presidential power if anything. Not only that, but Dr. Paul supports it, and we all know that he supports competing currencies.
