If everyone who pledged to donate, actually did... he would get 670 000 + $

Did they actually send out an email ?

I didn't pledge to give, but I gave $25. If I can, any of you can.

Peter just said his campaign will make a decision by Labor Day. It's pretty clear he's looking for at least $1,000,000+ before announcing his candidacy and I don't fault him in the slightest. These federal congressional campaigns are outrageously expensive especially when attempting to defeat an incumbent.

and as he said...his race might be the most expensive...

I listened to the broadcast, Peter Schiff gave some great answers. From his answer on abortion, my impression is that Peter is so straightforward that he is simply unable to give evasive answers.

The main purpose for taxation is to prevent accumulation of wealth to fund outsiders like Peter that challenge Leviathan. To the power holders, spending the money is secondary, as they can print as much as they want. To bad it isn't totally effective.

Similar to Paul's position in that it should be an issue decided at the state, not federal, level. However he's personally 'pro-choice' at least early on in the pregnancy. It sounded like he doesn't intend to make it an issue either way in his campaign, instead keeping the focus on economics.

abortion is an important issue for a lot of people, he should just say i'd want to leave it upto the states

That's what I thought at first. However, isn't Connecticut more of a socially liberal state? If so, maybe it won't hurt him much and even help him in the general election.

Remember, we have to get through the primary first.
