Drudge is covering it.

I remember hearing it here first.

I don't know what the Drudge story is, but there's been pictures of that floating around for years.

Kind of funny how illustrations of banned speech can end up being quite hot:

I don't recall. I do recall that I made a response to it, and now I can't find that. Did I find a memory hole?

How about everybody showing up to town halls with black tape over there mouths while the politicians spew their lies. I guarantee they would get freaked out and leave just as fast as if everyone was shouting at them.

Me why did I cause a problem?

Haven't read the thread yet...

Okay, WHEW Cowlesy you scared me to death, lol.

And that idea came from a RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT video - I think MAYBE my favorite of all time:

OUR POWER, OUR RESPONSIBILITY

YouTube - Ron Paul Our Power Our Responsibility (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6SODAhbJdE)

Watching it now....

okay, nope, it isn't that one.

But I DO remember a photo of a young man with tousled hair and glasses, and duct tape over his mouth used in an RP video - that is where I got the idea - it is not original to me.

NO! YOU are one of the solutions! :D The duct tape is another excellent tactic! We need to pull out all the stops.

No tears here.
This has an entirely different effect on me.

Anger

Same for Ron Paul events that I was part of.

Seething rage.

I am glad that vid didn't fall down the memory hole.

My reaction was all of the above, tears of rage and frustration along with white hot anger.

Is the duct tape a metaphor or realistically suppose to stop you from flapping your gums? I can move duct tape off my mouth enough with my tongue to say something.

I hazily remember some kid putting duct tape over his mouth when I was in junior high.

I think he had chapped lips and it was not good when he tried taking the tape off.

Be careful. :)

far from a new idea

many anti-censorship campaigns have used it
