Well it wasn't really an interview it was an all out attack on Peter. It seems they are already afraid of Peter and this host actually said Chris Dodd is going to be the hero of healthcare reform under Obamacare!

YouTube - Lawrence O'Donnell goes head to head with Republican Peter Schiff (08 06 2009) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJMc5c6z3E8)

Schiff fundraiser starts midnight tonight Thursday August 6 thru until midnight tomorrow Friday August 7

I hate gotcha journalism. Schiff did a good job. That guy is a douchebag.

Holy @%# this is what passes for journalism? That guy was interrupting and cowing at least a dozen times in that interrogation. Peter knew how to handle it - good job.

I think it was great. I think O'Donnell really made a complete embarrassment out of MSNBC.

Yup. And they say it's people on the right who are acting crazy and won't let others speak. Simply amazing.

he should have directly counter-attacked and called O'Donnell a democrat Party hack masquerading as a journaist

Wow, the CIA is turning out some great interrogators, especially after the alleged impending shutdown of Gitmo. Fun fun !

Man, that guy is a huge jerk. I wouldn't have blamed Schiff if he would've punched him in the face.

Peter, you did a great job against that douchebaggery! You kept your cool and acted professionally; that's why you'll make an excellent senator! :D

The best thing about this interview is it shows how strong Schiff is going to be in the debates. No matter how hard O'Donnell tried to spin the questions and spin Schiff's arguments, Schiff always had a counter. Imagine if O'Donnell was hitting Dodd like that? Dodd would be stuttering and sweating and wouldn't know what to say. This interview shows what an intellectual beast Schiff really is and how even MSNBC's best interrogator couldn't pull one over on him.

absolute scum!

outrageous conduct...worse than Stephanolous marginalizing Ron Paul...worse than when Tim Russert (I hope he is rotting in hell) attacked Ron Paul for opposing the civil war...

disgusting...

i wasnt gonna donate much tomorrow because i wanted to wait for a full committment...but I'm in for a C-note for sure.

When the party starts....my NJ associates from 2007-08 can drive to CT...only an hour 1/2 away frpm North Jersey

Attacks like this are merely a sign that they are getting desperate. We are winning! And Peter handled that like a pro.

Wow, MSNBC should really dissociate itself from that show quick, how embarrassing. I'm almost inclined to call my satellite provider and request they turn that crap off, I'm not paying for it. Fox News isn't even that bad. Myself, I'm a Bloomberg & Fox Business man.

Larry O'Donnell has been a professional partisan shill for a long time and MSNBC has turned into the left-wing spin machine.

Notice how Mcdouchbag's mic was up louder and with more bass to make him sound more dominant and manly over Schiff.

What a dickhead, makes you sick.

And tune in to CNN on Tuesday to see a surprise waterboarding of Peter Shiff by Anderson Cooper!

I'm starting to hate Bruno's interviewing style just a tiny bit less...

Me too. And more and more of the public are figuring out that the more cnbc attacks something or someone, the more that something or someone is worth supporting as well.

And I want to thank Cramer for stealing enough cash out of their pockets to wake them up, too.

It was painful to watch. Yes, the host was a typical undereducated cardboard-cutout shill, but Peter spent too much time validating his opponent and his null and void career. Is MSNBC where careers go to die?

He should have made the statement,

"You are asking me important questions and then denying me the opportunity to respond. You can either start conducting yourself as a professional now, or I am walking away from this interview.

"What I will not do is act like the kid trying to get his candy back from a 17 year old, 7 foot tall schoolyard bully still in Grade 5 holding the candy over his head. I have more dignity than that, your listeners hopefully have more dignity than that, and your employer hopefully has more dignity than that. Your call (strains mightily not to call the interviewer "cupcake").

Then again, I am not sure what I would do under the spotlight, but I imagine Schiff would have some callouses by now when it comes to dealing with turds like that.

NBC seems to have achieved the level of the BBC. It was a long, hard downhill slide, but they made it.

I was extremely impressed with Peter Schiff's ability to remain cool, focused, confident, and persuasive in the face of such a blatantly hostile and moronic stream of bullshit. He's going to be a powerhouse candidate in debates, and he can stand up and come out looking like a winner no matter what smearing rhetorical spin the media or opponents attempt. It's exciting!

Yeah, that would have been nice :)

Unfortunately, these interviews allow you little opportunity to think on your feet. It's easy to get flustered under hot lights with makeup on, a camera in your face, and a squarefaced idiot spitting all over you. Getting angry and being smart with the host is too great of a risk because you're in the weaker position to begin with. Schiff did the best he could, and still managed to get many great points across without losing his cool.

Guys and Gals.... you must remember one thing. Obama used 140 billion of your tax dollars to, in essence buy General Electric and guess who owns NBC and MSNBC...... General Electric. I would assume that is why nbc and msnbc are nothing more than Obama's campaign committee.

That host almost perfectly executed a Straw Man argument. Peter did briefly call him out on it, without stating the fallacy. Peter Schiff did a good job, and I'm surprised he kept his cool. I think his ability to remain calm is actually a plus for him. The spin of the host was so evident, this video clip would make a good training video to teach people how the media tries to spin things and discredit people they don't like.
