We're trying to get a proper Director's account through Youtube to post the documentary in it's full 110 min form. One of the requirements is to have at least 500 subscribers. Right now we're at 285 so we're already over half way.

Please log into your YT account, then go here and click the yellow Subscribe button.
http://www.youtube.com/user/crye55

While you're there maybe view the trailer to get the view count up higher.
YouTube - For Liberty Trailer - Let It Not Be Said We Did Nothing (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=emaeln--tzo)

Spreading this request around to different sites, forums, sending out email blasts, etc will also be helpful in garnering subscribers.

Thanks!!

What? I didn't know that- where is that? What other requirements are needed? So now I actually have a reason to try to get subscribers? I'm at 321 myself: http://www.youtube.com/bryanxt :D

BTW- I already subscribed long ago. :)

BTW2- if you don't have a YouTube account, get one! :) Seriously, it helps in the long run.

500 subscribers and at at least 20 videos, with "thousands" of views. Was told to me by a knowledgeable source. They basically look at these partnership/director accounts by a case by case basis. Having the 3 main requirements in place greatly helps the chances of being "let in" so to speak :)

Subscribe to Bryan's channel too and help him hit 500. These director's accounts are an extremely valuable asset to the movement. They're hard to get and not many people have them.

Subbed, good luck with the youtube partnership

I'm a partner and YT can be fickle about it... Could take weeks, months or never. Personally i would upload it in 10 minute pieces right now and then again later IF you get partnered

After you put it out there, someone will put it up there in it's entirety...let me know if you need help

I subscribed.

I have over 2800 subscribers to my YT account. The video with the 20th most views has about 54k views.

Does this mean I can get a directory account?

Subscribing to get Director status in order to upload longer than 10 min. videos seems to be all for nothing....

I just read this from YT policies:

You can no longer upload videos longer than ten minutes regardless of what type of account you have. Users who had previously been allowed to upload longer content still retain this ability, so you may occasionally see videos that are longer than ten minutes. You can, however, easily change your account type to Director, Comedian, Musician, or Guru, which offer a variety of other features like the ability to add a custom logo, tour date information, and links to other websites.

From:
http://www.google.com/support/youtube/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=71673

Gotta find someone who already has the ability to upload longer content.

You can still do it, but have to be accepted as a partner/director first. Then you can have unlimited time.

To become a YouTube partner you also have to own the content. My channel PeterSchiffVideos has 2,200 subscribers and my videos have thousands of views. However, all the content is owned by CNBC, Fox Business, CNN, ect. So my channel would not qualify for partnership.

you could use this channel to build an original content channel...just post teasers with redirects and build a new channel for partnership

Also, it is now my policy, wherever youtube is mentioned, to say

YouTube Sux

and remind all that we'd best pursue another long-term freedom video solution.
