What!? A government program is having problems? It's the apocamylips.

P.S. Spelling was intentional.

Next time save yourself the trouble and put a [sic] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sic) behind the intentionally mispelled[sic] word.

Cash for clunkers is bad for the environment.
It may be true that some inefficient cars will be destroyed, but some of those cars may get better mileage than those that belong to people who will not participate in the program. Many people are too poor, have bad credit, or are just too smart to go into debt for a new car but will buy a well used "upgrade". Think of all the less efficient cars that will be coaxed into longer service just because there are no more $2000 to $3000 cars for sale anymore. Furthermore, think of all the parts that will be destroyed instead of salvaged and all the cars that could have been helped by the salvage parts. There will be more surviving cars in disrepair, causing them to operate less than optimally, burning more fuel, leaking more oil and antifreeze, wearing tires faster, and increasing the risk of crashes.

Another point to use if you find someone who still supports the program--attack it from the left.
