Why is it I get up this morning and find this out?

http://www.gunowners.org/a092507.htm

Now they want to take away guns from people born with ADHD?! To my knowledge the second amendment states:

Amendment II

A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED. What is happening to our Constitution? Where do we draw the line before they take all our rights away? Are we just going to lie down and let them do this without raising a fuss?!

ADHD is a hoax very few children actually have it.

Lets see.... 1:150 get autism they cant get guns, how many have PTSD and now they want ADHD. How many people does that leave?

ADHD is a convenient excuse for some parents and
educators to write children off. Substandard individuals
capitalizing on the real problems of others [.]

To say ADHD is a hoax though is a very jackassed thing to do.

If one single senator can block this bill, then I say its licked already. Sorry guys, but I don't see Kyl or McCain voting for this.

I'm going to call their offices just to make sure though.

Main Entry:
1hoax Listen to the pronunciation of 1hoax
Pronunciation:
\ˈhōks\
Function:
transitive verb
Etymology:
probably contraction of hocus
Date:
circa 1796

: to trick into believing or accepting as genuine something false and often preposterous

isnt that what you just said? A convenient excuse for educators. They are tricking parents into thinking their child has a disease when they do not. Like I said very few people actually have it.

I think we are in agreement.

Blind and/or crazy people have no rights to firearms.

Sorry.

Why is it wrong to say ADHD is a hoax? I assert that ADHD actually is a hoax designed to make a large number of children dependent on drugs, guaranteeing a lifetime revenue stream for pharmaceutical companies.

Do I have proof? Yes, indirectly. If you read FDA drug approval "scientific" papers, it's obvious that they are very shoddy science. A lot of the FDA tests run for weeks, and children are put on these drugs for years. A lot of the FDA tests don't do a proper placebo test. A lot of drug companies are encouraging doctors to prescribe harmful drugs "off label" to children.

Sorry.

It's the definition of "crazy" in this bill that's the problem.

It's a slippery slope..........

Sorry.

Wow, you are so incorrect, so your implying people with ADHD are blind, and/or crazy? I myself have ADHD, and your ignorance is so overwhelming, maybe you should research on what it is, before running your mouth off?

People like this are the reasons these kind of things get passed in the first place. First its people with ADHD, than what next??? Soon every little simple complication in ones life, will be a reason for your 2nd Amendment rights to be revoked.

Note: I do own firearms, and I do not abuse the rights given to me by the second Amendment.

Indeed. If we were following the congress's logic we would take away guns from the Christians first.

As someone with ADD I'm incredibly offended by anyone who thinks I'm more dangerous with a gun than someone who doesn't have ADD.

You should send the email anyway. Obama is on the Veteran's Affairs Committee. Make sure he realizes that the Vets will turn on him if he lets this pass.........

So Long to the Second Amendment

Wait a second. We have a Constitution that our representatives are supposed to be adhering to? Please! That is such oldthink. Why not ignore that Second Amendment of yours like the rest of the Constitution. It is so much easier to run government that way, and it can get bigger for us and do more for us if we do not try to restrain it.
