Ron Paul has more people WAITING for a meetup group than the total number of the Meetup group members of Barack Obama, who has the next highest number of members. ;)

Haha.

Somehow I think the RP growth is not turning into Meetup member growth. Somehow it would be great if Ron Paul could channel some more people to the Groups. Perhaps by mentioning the Meetup groups more often? I think most people don't even know Meetup exists. I know I didn't before Ron Paul.

I haven't heard of Meetup groups either before RP^_^ Perhaps meetup.com owes Ron Paul some stock options.:p

Funny thing is I think that the Ron Paul map is going to break google's map function. It takes quite a bit of time to load the 900+ groups on that map.

Obama has been losing groups he used to be at 70 or so.. now hes got 62 groups... same thing with edwards and clinton.. all flat to negative meetup group growth

About a month ago, i think the largest Obama meetup group was in Seattle. That's about the time the Seattle Ron Paul meetup group blew by them in numbers.

I'm not sure if they've added more than a couple folks in the time since we blew by them. We certainly have. That's not to say that Obama isn't popular here - though i've convinced my brother to put up a Ron sign rather than the Obama sign - i'd be surprised if he doesn't win the (meaningless, as far as delegates go) February primary.
