I've never used illicit drugs. In general --- and perhaps even in all cases --- I believe that to do so is sin. However, I also believe government cannot make someone moral, nor is that it's rightful job. I would vote to legalize.

I agree. I think its horrible that people who do use it for medicinal purposes have to risk so much in order to do so. I also think its horrible for people who want to use it for recreational purposes have to risk so much in order to do so. If alcohol is legal, then cannabis needs to be legal. There isn't much of a difference other than cannabis makes people NICER than alcohol seems to do, and you cannot overdose on cannabis. Some of us need that happy place from time to time.

The great thing about weed is that if you have "too much," you'll be too lazy to smoke any more, drive, or do anything else that could be possibly dangerous to anyone's health.


be weary of "regulated" pot....

That is the only reason to keep it illegal.

To me that's that most important part. 8 out of 20 Americans are paying to feed, clothe, and shelter average citizens perfectly capable of taking care of themselves. And of those 8 probably 3 have tried the herb themselves!
