I have one idea: inner cities. I am about as pale white as they come, sitting up here in NH. But if there were a way to reach out to the innercity folks and let them know about Ron Paul, I think we could awaken a huge constituency for him.

Now, I do not pretend to be tuned in to all of the issues in the inner cities, but I have some ideas because I try to stay well informed.

Here are my impressions. Let me know if you have any insight or if I am off-base in any way:

Most of the "crime" in these areas is drug-related. Crime would reduce significantly if drugs were legalized. Families would not be torn apart and prisons would not fill to the brim.

Many of these folks are anti-establishment. They are sick of the police-state. They are sick of being harassed.

They are sick of attacks on their free speech. (rap lyrics, etc)

Although many rely on welfare, they are probably tired of the government control over them brought on by the welfare state.

Many would support the right to bear arms I am sure.

It may be refreshing for them not to be condescended to. They are probably tired of being pandered to and treated like victims. RP's message is one of personal empowerment and freedom for all individuals, not because you are part of a group or were born with a certain pigment to your skin.

Anyway, I am just starting to form thoughts here about how to tailor a message to this demographic. I would appreciate input. Then we need to come up with a plan.

Another group:

Local Freemason lodges. Some of the founding fathers and signers of the Constitution were Freemasons. Lets see if they support Ron Paul.

Any Freemasons on this board?

Someone needs to make a RON PAUL character on popular MMOS like World of warcraft and City of heroes. Then act all heroic and spread the virtues of liberty in very colorful, thoughtful and humorous ways.

If the name RONPAUL is taken, perhaps Aravoth isnt.

Tell them theres a real world contest, if you get Ron paul elected you receive 1,000,000 experience points and the Sword of Liberty +1

Jam band concerts... Phishheads, Deadheads, neo-hippies, whatever you want to call them. They are mostly young people that would call themselves Libertarian or Green Party, many of them very active politically. Make sure to say or give out fliers that say Ron Paul wants to decriminalize marijuana and end the War on Drugs. To find concerts in your area, go to http://jambase.com

Network marketers/MLM... especially ones that sell vitamins, supplements, or lotions. The FDA (and big pharmaceutical) is seriously hindering what they can do, which affects their livelihood. These people usually know and talk to lots of people, and are great at selling an idea (like vote for Ron Paul). When Ron Paul is President, he will do away with all the bad stuff the FDA is doing.

The founding fathers were Freemasons.

Don't lump everyone together.

Even if they are, that is only the top level Freemasons. Most of them don't know that.

how about we focus on tailoring our message to the individual.

Ron Paul is the only candidate for "african-americans"... really though,
he is. 'They' realize this immediately upon hearing about him/researching
him, just like 'everyone else' does.

just toss that around for a little while.

in the meanwhile, a full-frontal assault on "liberal" institutions who vocally 'Hate hate'
and in so doing seem to always manage to fuel race bating (hmmm, go figure) rather
than seek solutions.

and excellent example is the hullaballu over the 'jena six'
