Just wondering what everybody's opinion on the fundraising this quarter will be. This is strictly a "your best guess" poll. No official speculating. Seeing how we have raised close to 500k on the website in less than a week, what do you think the total #'s will be?

5 million, hopefully more. I would be happy with anything over 4.5 though.

5+, beating Romney and both Edwards and Hillary in number and amount of total donations under $200.

Just think for a minute. What if the quarter three online donations have been coming in maybe not as fast as they are now, but even a little less the whole time during quarter 3, but the campaign is just now getting the donation meter setup? Again I know this being the last week there's going to be a surge in donations, but even if it's half of what's been raised this week that's pretty good. Something to think about.

I'd prolly pee my pants. So like 1 million every two weeks or so? That would be great and put him at 6-7 million. I could deal with that, plus the in-person fundraisers that he has done. The total should be good, hopefully.

We know for a fact that it beats last quarter which was $2.37 million. The campaign has already admitted that.

My guess is an average of $45,000 per day averaged out over the entire 90 day period. That comes to $4.05 million for the quarter.

3 million. Summer donations are slow, the fact that its more than Q2 should be impressive enough.

those available are sufficient.

I dunno...my gut just tells me we are going to be blown away by the real numbers.

same here.. I dont have any doubt its going to be $5 million +.. but my gut is telling me its going to be close to $10 Million.. Ron has been literally sweating his balls off fundraising and hes been doing a bang up job..

In the last week with the quill we got 1,787 donations then they reset it and I saw it at like another 1200-1300.. so we got 3000 donations last week.. and them this week we got 500k no doubt.

if we've been doing $500k a week on the internet that $2 million a month.. I think the campaign knew wed easily beat $500k and thats why they put up the 'challenge' theyre getting media response from this challenge and the fact that we're easily going to beat it.

Yeah I figured $50,000 a day for $4.5 million.. but then dont forget the donations Ron has been getting in person AND the donations that get mailed in...

We already know the answer to this, the pace of the first two days was approximately 5x the normal pace. 3200 donations vs 27000 or so for the 85 days before this last surge. Average donation has been $95 during this last surge also.

Come back to reality people. $5,000,000 for the quarter.

Also, what is your guess as to which so-called "second tier" candidate other than Ron gets the most this quarter, and how much will they get?

libertythor

We are almost 100% positive that it will exceed 3 million. It could be a little or much more.

Our focus should be NEW DONORS.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to donate again until the 3rd of October, but when I do it will be 8 times my $25 donation this month.:)

Also how much do people guess that McCain will get this quarter? And will McCain has positive cash on hand or be in debt?

He'll have to take those matching funds everybody has been talking about, and if he does, he'll be in the black...

At least $2 million. Anything other than that is dangerous speculation likely to be picked up by opposition campaigns and the media in painting supporters as "disappointed."

Always underpromise and overdeliver.

Those people who say we are going to get over 5 million are not thinking about the facts. Last quater we raised 2.4 million which was huge. Ron Paul's campaign said the campaign's donations would be slightly higher than last quarter.

3 to 4 million is the highest possible, and would be truly amazing. Let's hope for more than 3 million. But even if it is 2.5 million that will still be awesome, because we improved over last quarter's fundraising - which is unusual. The Paul campaign is wise with their money unlike other campaigns which are millions of dollars in debt already.

We can win this thing with 3 or 4 million in the bank going into the fouth quarter.

I don't like the guessing game so I won't vote and won't guess. All this does is raise people's expectations and set them up for dissapointment. What we do know is that we raised more than last quarter because the campaign said that. So it's something higher than $2.4 million. All that matters is what they announce the real number we raised is in 1 or 2 weeks, not the number we expect it to be. Keep donating and keep fighting and we shall be rewarded.

Yeah, but they started off the meter with like 48K. I'm wondering if that was the extra quill donations. The meter, showing dollar amounts, is a much better way to raise funds than just the number of donations. This way, it incites you to put more money in the pot, just so you can watch it grow. :)

Actually, I saw it start out around 28K. I'm pretty sure that the quill donations are seperate from this one. Also, I think its possible to reach $500,000 by tonite, and (cross your fingers) $1 million by the 30th.

I voted over 5 mill, but I think more realistically it'll be $4.5 million.
