Real good reading. This author is always balanced and informed. He has written about RP several times and he always seems to be spot on.
Sorry about the mis-quoting of the title. Stayed up way TOO LATE last night watching that damn money pile grow.

Yes, many of us have been entirely baffled by the hatred Ron Paul has inspired among certain groups of people. I don't get it at all. It's like when people hate libertarians because they want to "force their views on others" - never mind that their views are that people shouldn't force their views on others. It is completely bewildering to me that people are terrified or offended by the fundamentally American idea of live and let live.

People find comfort in routine and habit. Ron Paul suggests actual change. He, therefore, makes many people uncomfortable even though said routine and habit really ought to be uncomfortable in and of itself.
It's like a child who notices that he doesn't get his nightly thrashing from his drunken father. Clearly something is wrong!

That was a great article! Thank you for posting it.
I got a big laugh out of "Paultards." :D Ha!
I just hadn't heard that before.
Maybe I should add it to my signature..."I'm a Ron Paultard!"
...I'll think about it....

The criminal elite have spent many decades slowly inching American into it's current position, with the ultimate goal of an NAU the the total destruction of the Constitution and the middle class.
Ron Paul would put a dagger through the heart of their plans, decades of hard work, and literally trillions of dollars they have spent destroying the greatest nation on Earth.
That's why they demonize him.

It has become inspiring to me rather than angering when I hear the term "Paultard" or "Ronbots". It used to make me mad as hell when pundits or wanna-be-pundits would spew forth such juvenile and uncreative plays on the Ron Paul name.
Now, I just take comfort in it because I know that once your opponent starts the name calling you know you've won.
I'm feeling particularly inspired today so here are a few things to think about:
A mind troubled by doubt cannot focus on the course to victory.
One of the greatest victories you can gain over someone is to beat him at politeness.
Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win. (The Art of War)
Civilization is a method of living, an attitude of equal respect for all men.
Wisdom doesn't automatically come with old age. Nothing does - except wrinkles. It's true, some wines improve with age. But only if the grapes were good in the first place.
Force without wisdom falls of its own weight.
Opinions founded on prejudice are always sustained with the greatest of violence.
There are more pleasant things to do than beat up people. (Muhammad Ali)
Perseverance is more prevailing than violence; and many things which cannot be overcome when they are together, yield themselves up when taken little by little.
Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
The truth that makes men free is for the most part the truth which men prefer not to hear.
Laws alone can not secure freedom of expression; in order that every man present his views without penalty there must be spirit of tolerance in the entire population. (Albert Einstein)
The test of courage comes when we are in the minority. The test of tolerance comes when we are in the majority.
The people I distrust most are those who want to improve our lives but have only one course of action.
There is no revenge so complete as forgiveness.
When anger rises, think of the consequences. (Confucious)
Live long, and prosper.

Nowdays, people are so apathetic that they think enthusiasm is inherently offensive.
