I don't think so.

Kudos to Beck for finally warning us about something we couldn't have found out from Alex Jones.

Maybe Beck is actually moving in the right direction and is looking for forgiveness for all those nasty things he said when Ron Paul was running for president.

I hope he continues to do more research in this vein on his show.

"When logged on to the CARS system, your computer is considered a Federal computer system and is the property of the U.S. Government."

Since when does "When logged on" mean forever? Maybe I'm missing something. Someone help me out and explain a logical and informative examination of what Glenn is saying. I don't know how long someone stays logged on. I don't understand how the Gov. can tap into a computer and see everything on your computer all within a few minutes (assuming you are only logged on for a few minutes). I don't disagree that the language is inexcusable, my problem is that I think the truth and reality of this ordeal seems to be stretched a bit.

*Edit* I can understand the threat of spyware. Is that where all this talk is stemming from? The threat of putting spyware on a computer during a point in time it is legal to do so because it is "property of the government" is questionable of its self. Many people have different setups on their computers. My guess is that even if spyware was put on a computer the number of successful victims will be very minimal. (Exploiting software holes can be illegal. So even if the Gov. does infiltrate a computer the Gov. may still be breaking a different law.)

The mere fact that they would do this is unaccectable, logged on or not. Should I have access to your computer while your logged onto the forum?

I agree there is a bit of a stretch in "forever" but who knows I have not read the warning posted on cars.gov I don't trust it.

If your computer is property of the U.S government, they can use that opportunity to install spyware, and as long as that spyware is in place, they can see evrything you do, which means they will always have a window into your world unless you can identify the spyware and remove it if you are not logged into their Cars system. It's like letting a vampire into your home, once you do, they are difficult to remove.

Exactly the reason you should never agree to the Cars system TOS. Once you do, You open yourself to a whole lot of tyranny from the free will of your own dumb choice.

But the globalist lawyers use it to accomplish the goals of their masters, that is why I have posted on this thread. To try and make people think twice before accepting the CARS system TOS....read it, think about what you are giving up for that voucher.

Not literally "take it", but you've agreed it's theirs to inspect.

I'm not sure if they say "you are therefore obligated never to destroy this computer or you may face criminal charges"

But hey, it's neither illegal nor wrong if you agreed to it, right?

Good question.

I think, it probably just means they want virus free computers to access the website. Also, that you're not a criminal trying to attack or gather info on the government.

Yes, I highly doubt the government can actually access, or install any permanent monitors without you knowing (and if they could, why bother warning you?)

The globalists are the masters of bending the letter of law to their will.

If you are stupid enough to give them access to your domain, don't be surprised what they do with that privledge when it destroys you.

You have been warned what can happen. If you ignore it, you have no one to blame but yourself if it turns out bad.

WOW!

Do you work for the CFR? That is the reply I would think they would issue.

First of all, the government has the best anti virus software available, so that is a non issue.

And yes the government could very easily install permanent monitors on your computer without you knowing. Very few of us went to college for computer science like myself. A computer science major might find it, the general public, not a chance.

buffalokid777

PS the reason they would warn you is so they could comply with the letter of the law since they know most of the dumbed down public won't even read the TOS before agreeing to it.

That's why I said in several previous posts, don't say no one warned you if you choose to accept the TOS.

It is people's right to accept the TOS and cut their own throats.

It's my right to try and convince them not to do it.

Let them decide for themselves I am all good with that.

I have tried, if they choose to go along with this to get a voucher, I have done my part and warned them this might not be a good idea.

If it's a desktop application, it probably installs rootkits that allow the government to bypass AVs. Someone would have to reverse engineer the program to really find out.

The site is not accessible at the moment though, so I don't know for sure.

Glenn Beck is an idiot (this should surprise no one).

You don't get this notification if you just go to the web site.

You have to go to the DEALER section and try to connect to the Dept. of Transportation's computers (which you would only do if you had made a sale and were looking to be reimbursed).

You won't get it if you just go to the site and read about the program.

So here's the deal. If you are a dealer and want to use the program, use a clean computer without a ton of Kiddie Porn on it, and you should be okay.

If you aren't a dealer, none of this applies to you.

And Glenn Beck is still an idiot.

Came here to post this from reddit:

Okay.
What he neglects to mention, is that this is on the dealer, not consumer site.
The reason he tells listeners to not go to cars.gov is that they won't find these terms and conditions.
In the video: 1:29 - Top left of screen "dealer support". Also, the color on the screen is blue. The color for the consumer website is green.
In fact, this disclaimer is only accessible via a dealer registration link. IT IS FOR WHEN DEALERS SECURELY LOG INTO THE C.A.R.S SYSTEM TO CONDUCT TRANSACTIONS WITH THE GOVERNMENT.
Edit: Glenn Beck is a stupid douchebag.
Edit2: Still haven't found the "government owns your computer" bit, but if you HQ youtube, you can actually read most of the top part of the privacy act and security statement that Beck is raving about. It is for dealers accessing the nationwide database of VIN numbers.

Governments and their agents claim the "right" to do many things individuals aren't allowed to do. So much for the myth of delegated authority.
