The big question is: will Rand Paul's run for Senate be quixotic? I'm dying to know!

The big question is: will Rand Paul's run for Senate be quixotic? I'm dying to know!

I peer into my crystal ball for a peek at the next Fox News article.

Rand Paul, son of quixotic libertarian presidential candidate Ron Paul, who once ran for president as a Libertarian, will decide whether to launch a quixotic bid of his own for the US Senate next week. No word on whether the junior Paul will run as a Libertarian or another third party. Reports of spammers living in their mother's basement arranging a bot-net moneybomb for the possible quixotic campaign have started circulating.

Whether this moneybomb will involve stolen credit cards like the elder Paul's campaign will be closely watched by Fox News political analysts. They are also watching for any possible donations from fringe groups that believe 9/11 was planned by George Bush personally, as well as any white supremacists. Rand Paul's views are considered by most to be outside of the mainstream Republican platform and thus he appears to have little shot at winning the Senate seat. His opponent will be Trey Grayson, a mainstream Republican with wide support from all political groups on the planet. Grayson has already raised $359,000,000,000,000 from Republican donors and is considered to be a shoo-in for the seat. He has received the endorsement of Lady de Rothschild and Ben Bernanke. Fox News will continue to update you on the status of Rand Paul's racist supporters as the campaign moves forward.

But I probably shouldn't give them any ideas. :p

I'd say he's more of a long shot dark horse fringe candidate.
